What to expect from column covers
Access panels preserved
Where columns carry electrical, alarm, sprinkler, or inspection points, the cover is broken with removable panels or service cut-outs. Decorative metal should not bury equipment that needs future access.
Impact edges reinforced
Retail, lobby, parkade, and warehouse columns get hit at different heights. Kick plates, heavier lower sections, or replaceable panels are used where carts and pallet jacks contact the cover.
Finish matched to space
Stainless, powder-coated aluminum, formed steel, or brushed panels are selected around visibility and wear. A public lobby column needs a different finish than a back-of-house guard sleeve.

The Grate Guys builds column covers around drawings, measurements, traffic duty, finish exposure, and installation constraints using mild steel, structural steel, galvanized finish, powder-coat, stainless details, or aluminum where the site calls for it, made to order in our Toronto shop, licensed, insured, and WSIB-covered, with a workmanship warranty on every order, supplied and installed across the GTA and shipped Canada-wide.
