Material picked by use
Mild steel, stainless, aluminum, galvanized steel, tube, plate, mesh, and grating each solve different problems. The material choice follows load, corrosion, weight, and appearance.
Parts made installable
Large fabrications are broken into sections that can be shipped, carried through the site, and fastened in the right order. A beautiful one-piece weldment is a problem if it cannot fit through the door.
Finish sequenced correctly
Galvanizing, powder coating, stainless finishing, and field touch-ups have to be planned around welds, holes, and final assembly. Finish decisions made late create avoidable rework.
