What to expect from column reinforcing
Base damage addressed
Forklift strikes and corrosion usually show up at floor level first. Reinforcing can include base plate repair, web stiffeners, wrap plates, or guards so the same damage does not repeat.
Connections left buildable
Access for welding, bolting, drilling, and coating is checked before the reinforcing detail is finalized. A theoretically strong plate is useless if it cannot be installed around walls, ducts, or racks.
Clearance for operations
Reinforcing cannot block aisles, door swings, rack bays, or maintenance access. We keep the added steel tight to the column where possible so the building can keep functioning.

Column Reinforcing is custom-fabricated or coordinated for commercial, industrial, municipal, institutional, retail, and construction sites, where fit, access, durability, and site conditions matter more than a stock product. The Grate Guys builds column reinforcing around drawings, measurements, traffic duty, finish exposure, and installation constraints using mild steel, structural steel, galvanized finish, powder-coat, stainless details, or aluminum where the site calls for it, made to order in our Toronto shop, licensed, insured, and WSIB-covered, with a workmanship warranty on every order, supplied and installed across the GTA and shipped Canada-wide.
