Vaults in sidewalks, laneways, parking lots, and service yards see different loads. Cover thickness, ribs, and frames are selected around the heaviest expected crossing.
Flush to walking surface
A vault cover proud of the sidewalk becomes a trip edge, while a low cover holds water. We set the frame to the surrounding walking surface.
Drainage kept away
Vault openings should not become water traps. Covers and frames are detailed to shed surface water while still allowing required service access.
